These are million-dollar opportunities with open application phases. In September, Lisbon will host an important event: the boards of DIANA (NATO's acceleration program) and the NATO Innovation Fund (NATO's venture capital fund) will be gathering in the Portuguese capital.

idD Portugal Defence is taking advantage of this unique opportunity to organize a special session where 8 selected startups will pitch directly to NATO teams -  Pitch For NATO @Lisbon 2024. The selection of these startups will be conducted through a competition, with applications open until July 31. This is an unmissable opportunity for innovative startups looking to become part of NATO's defense and innovation ecosystem.

Additionally, NATO's innovation accelerator (DIANA) has launched challenges aimed at startups working in areas such as Energy & Power, Data & Information Security, Sensing & Surveillance, Human Health & Performance, and Critical Infrastructure & Logistics.

The goal of  Desafios DIANA  is to find concrete solutions to specific challenges, not just a technology but a comprehensive solution that may involve one or more technologies. Selected startups will benefit from an acceleration program, with non-dilutive funding of €100,000 in the first phase and €300,000 in the second phase for those selected to advance. Startups from any NATO country can apply, with applications open until August 9.
