Yesterday, on September 17, Startup Braga coordinated the Investor Meeting: Getting Ready for Investment, held at the outdoor patio of gnration. The event aimed to prepare startups for investment processes and offer moments of sharing and networking with industry experts.

The event kicked off at 3 PM with the talk Demystifying Investment Rounds, led by Vasco Bivar de Azevedo from Cuatrecasas and João Pedro Silva from GED Ventures. This session was essential to clarify the stages of investment processes and demystify how funding rounds work.

Next, Luís Reis from Altice Labs presented the Altice International Innovation Award 2024, where the opportunities provided by this award were discussed, along with an invitation to apply by the September 22 deadline.

At 3:40 PM, the Pitching Session took place, featuring startup pitches to investors. Presenting startups included e-Dynamics (Joana Figueiredo), Medgical (Teresa Tong), OmniumAI (Oscar Dias), and WellBeing Warrior (Miguel Regedor), highlighting the innovative spirit and entrepreneurship within the community.

One of the event's highlights was the session Raising an Investment Round — The case of PluggableAI, led by Startup Braga's director, Luís Rodrigues, in an interview with Bruno Fernandes, CEO and co-founder of PluggableAI. This session celebrated an important milestone for the community, with PluggableAI securing €1.75 million in seed funding, led by GED Ventures and with participation from Portugal Ventures. This investment will support PluggableAI’s international expansion.

The day concluded with 1:1 Mentoring Sessions & Networking Coffee, where participants had the chance to interact directly with mentors from GED Ventures, Cuatrecasas, and Altice Labs. During these sessions, startups such as Automaise, BestHealth4U, BIMWorkplace, DeepBond, e-Dynamics, Iplexmed, Kamwork, Medgical, OmniumAI, and WellBeing Warrior were mentored.

The Investor Meeting was a great opportunity to share knowledge, celebrate successes, and create new opportunities for investment and growth within our entrepreneurial community.
