Keyruptive gets USA patent
Keyruptive, startup of the Startup Braga community, has just obtained a software patent in the United States of America (USA) with the technology used in its mobile cryptocurrency wallet.
The solution developed by researchers at INESC TEC's Laboratory, located at the University of Minho, João Paulo, Francisco Maia and Francisco Cruz, and by Rui Oliveira, a professor at the University of Minho and member of INESC TEC's Board, now patented, involves the way pieces of information are divided and stored in different sites while ensuring convenience of access and secure storage of information in the cloud.
"Method and a device for secure storage of at least one element of digital information, and system comparising such device" is the name of the patent granted to Keyruptive, which "reinforces the innovative character of the European SafeCloud project approaches, as well as the product developed by the spin-off Keyruptive", said Francisco Maia, one of the creators.
It should be remembered that Keyruptive is a mobile cryptocurrency wallet that enables the access and management of funds intuitively and with high availability while maintaining a level of security comparable to that of hardware devices.
