Startup Braga has once again been recognised as one of Europe's top startup hubs, securing 31st place globally and 4th place in Iberia in the prestigious Financial Times, Statista and Sifted ranking of Europe's Leading Start-up Hubs 2025.
This is the second year in a row that Startup Braga has been ranked among the best, confirming its role as a key player in the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship.
For more than a decade, Startup Braga, the innovation hub of InvestBraga, has promoted capacity building, pre-acceleration, acceleration and incubation programmes for startups. Initiatives such as Startup Point, the School of CEOs, the SCB Innovation Hub and iTech Tourism, among others, stand out. In 2024, the Ignition Programme for Entrepreneurs and the Youth Associations - Empreender@Braga - will return.
In 2025, the Global Health Accelerator was launched, enabling early to mid-stage startups to address global challenges in health, biotechnology and nanotechnology. Our hybrid programme equips innovators with the resources, expertise and connections they need to develop, validate and scale transformative solutions.
Startup Braga also congratulates other incubators that are driving innovation across Portugal, including Unicorn Factory Lisboa, IPN - Instituto Pedro Nunes, LISPOLIS, BGI, Startup Leiria and Casa do Impacto.
Above all, this recognition belongs to the startups - the entrepreneurs whose vision, resilience and dedication continue to push the boundaries of innovation.
As Startup Braga looks to the future, its mission remains clear: to empower startups, support groundbreaking ideas and consolidate Braga's position as a leading hub for entrepreneurship on the global stage.
