ChemiTek, from Startup Braga community, dedicated to the production of innovative coatings for the maintenance and protection of various materials, especially solar panels, took advantage of its know-how and its production unit to launch a product for disinfection of hands and surfaces, essential in combating COVID-19.

When some markets stopped activity, ChemiTek adjusted its business and has been developing a different product, SANI PROTECT. “We researched the various problems that alcohol brought, especially associated with the inflammable character and the dehydration it brings to the skin. To do something innovative, we formulated a disinfectant that does not damage the skin or surfaces and effective for SARS-CoV-2”, highlights César Martins, CEO of ChemiTek.

Currently, ChemiTek SANI PROTECT has obtained in the last days, the certificate of the standard EN 14476, awarded by DR. BRILL + PARTNER GMBH, Germany, one of the most prominent European laboratories in the field. The certificate attests that SANI PROTECT eliminates SARS-CoV-2 in just 30 seconds, and also eliminates other viruses such as hepatitis, flu, herpes, etc.

SANI PROTECT is a disinfectant developed and perfected to have the best performance in the elimination of viruses, bacteria and fungi. With didecyldimethylammonium chloride base, the product is certified for the elimination of encapsulated viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and Ebola (according to EN 14476: 2019), bacteria (according to EN 1276: 2019) and fungi (according to EN 1650: 2019) and is notified to the Directorate-General of Health (DGS) complying with all biocidal standards.

The product can be used to disinfect hands, technological equipment and surfaces, without resorting to alcohol and thus guaranteeing the integrity of the skin.
