Inspired by Thomas A. Edison's words — “I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work” — representatives from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina came together to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration within innovation ecosystems.
Portugal was represented by Startup Braga, who were accompanied by Fetalix (Catarina Milheiro), Medgical (Catarina Martinho), MotoFast (Gustavo Branco and Sidney Prado), Movize (João Silva and Nuno Sousa) and Otitest (Raul Almeida and Nayara Hernandez Pinto).
During the event, Fetalix and Otitest took to the stage to present their projects. Fetalix stood out among the 350 startups participating in Startup Olé 2025 — an event that brought together more than 3,600 people in Salamanca — by winning the BioTech/e-Health Pitch Competition Award.
Startup Braga also played an active role in the Innovation Academy, a training experience which used a board game to facilitate knowledge exchange among participants. This dynamic approach explored disruptive opportunities in the health, energy, and mobility sectors, culminating in the creation of a Moonshot Canvas — a joint vision map for developing innovative solutions to real challenges.
