The Mechanical Engineering Students Association of the University of Minho promotes, between the 1st and 4th of March, another Mechanical Engineering Meeting. This year, the event has as its starting point the Universe, Aeronautics and Aerospace.

Alongside the conferences, the Mechanical Engineering Students Association is organising a competition dedicated to real entrepreneurs, with the support of Startup Braga. "Plan for Earth" is the competition that will challenge, on March 4, students to think of solutions that unite the Universe of technology here on Earth. The participants will develop business ideas based on the use of one or more space assets to design an innovative solution (product/service to be commercialised) that responds to one of the challenges launched by ESA Space Solutions Portugal. The winning team of "Plan for Earth" will have access to six months of incubation at Startup Braga and to all the conditions inherent to this programme.

Besides the competition, Startup Braga and its community will be present at the Speed Interviews session, scheduled for March 3rd, starting at 16h30. Mechanical Engineering students will be able to speak with Carlos Gonçalves (Startup Braga), Francisco Maia (Keyruptive), Isabel Ribeiro (Work In Braga), João Marques (OSCAR), Luís Rodrigues (Startup Braga), Ricardo Carvalho (We Can Charge), Tiago Pereira de Sousa (Pixartidea) and Vítor Soares (IZIRepair).
